The story
The 1060 is a 30 W per channel integrated amplifier from the same early-1970s generation as the 2230 receiver. It is rated at 30 W per channel into 8 Ω from 20 Hz to 20 kHz at 0.5% THD and weighs about 18 lb. Like the 2230, it uses a capacitor-coupled output stage running from a single-rail power supply, with output capacitors keeping DC away from the speakers. It is better equipped than its size suggests: three line inputs plus a front-panel aux input, a microphone input, a moving-magnet phono stage, a tape loop, bass, mid and treble controls, high and low filters, and a pre-out/main-in pair that lets you use the preamp and power amp sections separately. The later 1060B kept the name and the 30 W rating but changed the controls and dropped the pre-out/main-in jacks, and most owners prefer the original. The 1060 suits a turntable-based system with no need for a tuner, or a buyer who already owns a separate tuner.

Noisy volume and tone controls and crackly selector switches are the usual first job on a used 1060. Contact cleaner fixes most of it; bias and offset adjustments belong to the service manual or a technician.
